La Citadelle La Font du Parc |
Our friends Malcolm
and Sue Sanderson launched themselves successfully into holiday lettings
in 2001. They put a new swimming pool into the garden of their principal
residence at La Font du Parc, and let the property for the summer, while
moving themselves and their family to their other house near Mussidan.
La Font du Parc is just two miles south of La Citadelle, and sleeps 8 guests. The property stands with its back to the hamlet of La Font du Parc, with a doorway leading from the terrace into the heart of the community. The house and grounds face across a field to woods.

The house was converted from
two adjacent barns. The first contains the big living room, with
sleeping accommodation over, while the second is the bedroom wing.
Both wings open directly via french windows onto the large terrace which runs the length of the house. At one end of the terrace is a tonnelle, a canopy ,covering the outdoor dining area with a large built-in barbecue alongside. Across the lawn is the new pool, sheltered by a high earth bank planted with palm trees. This has a big paved terrace around one half, and a graveled area on the opposite side.

Anyone wanting
more details about renting La Font du Parc, and about the facilities and
services provided should call Malcolm and Sue on + 33 (0) 5 53 63 08 91 ("+" is your international access code - in the UK it is "00", and the zero in brackets is only used if you are dialling FROM France).
Malcolm is also hoping the complete the renovation of his other house, near the Chateau de Montreal just outside Mussidan, and install a pool there too so that they can rent that out as well, while they move on the a third property for the summer. La Font du Parc costs more than La Citadelle, but has a pool instead of our 70 metre lake.
